Cold balls

Well, Robin has learned to stop producing a huge crap at a quarter to two in the morning. Progress. He is a sweet little dog who knows how to melt a stony heart. I must put up a picture of him on here.
It's been an interesting couple of days following Norwegian politics...what is important today everybody? Well, it's all about whether they should allow policewoman to wear the hijab, (is that what this is called?) A well-meaning way to encourage muslim women to join the police is countered by a wish to keep the police neutral and representative of the Norwegian state. The minister involved, a boyish looking young slip of a lad who is called Knut Storberget realised too late that this is a very contentious issue which it is wise not to have an opinion about. His problem is that he has had an opinion which he clearly regrets. His blustering and denial are on the humorous side of rediculous. It's always fun to watch people in power wriggle and duck and dive like a red deer in car headlights.
Once again, my kk class impresses with interest and intellectual ability. Øivind Dahl's cultural filter is simple enough but the ramifications it represents are endless. The kids seem to understand this and today's lesson was a pleasure to be a part of. Their interpretation of Slum Dog Millionaire seen through cultural filters has been an eye-opener for me. Well done kids!!
And the sun is shining...at last. It is noticeable how much lighter it has got since Christmas and despite the temperature being cold enough to freeze the proverbial gonads off a brass primate, things are going in the right direction. I bet Storberget's balls feel pinched at the moment.
