Hot hot hot

My goodness, it's hot! I seem to have brought the 30' weather back to Norway from Greece. The weather experts say it will continuing next week. Let's hope the trend keeps going when we are over in Britain.
Kevin is giving cause for concern. He was i a kennel while I was away and apparently had a worry session, not eating. He is happy enough now but very weak and doesn't want to go for walks. He is moving slowly and I just hope a protein diet will build him up again, at least until we go to England together. John saw him this morning. I drove down to Sannidal and we stopped off home on our way to Gardermoen. All this so he could go to a wedding and see Ålesund against his beloved Strømsgodset in Ålesund. We managed it!
I have finished reading the Greek history and it has been very interesting refreshing old knowledge and putting it into the context of my trip to Santorini, called Thira at the time, and to Athens. The trip to Delphi is even more fascinating after having read even more about how it worked. No tea-leaf reading there! Politics pure and simple, as well as a treasure chest for the cities. It is always rewarding to increase meagre knowledge!
Which is what some of the students in my English class will have to do next year. I am correcting (feel snowed under by it to be honest) and must admit to being a bit disappointed by some of their efforts. They don't read the questions, and when asked to explain grammatical errors using terminology, seem to base their answers more on a Delphi-like oracle than on what has been going on in my lessons. But this job means this sort of let-down now and again. They are really an amazingly pleasant bunch and I enjoy teaching them as well as their company. OK, the question in mind is unnecessarily difficult, and irrelevant to learning English as a foreign language, but this stuff is in the plan as they say, and we can't get round it.
