Idling.

Seven o'clock in the morning, it's Monday and I am sitting at my desk in Kongsberg. Kevin is better, the weather is more reasonably cool but still no rain, and even though I have promised my classes teaching today, no-one expects anything out of the ordinary. We are gradually winding down to holiday, just a few meetings left and being here is enough. As someone else wrote on a blog somewhere close by, I don't mind to admit that I envy myself my situation at the moment. It is soon time to sum up and a preview would have to be something of the "This has been a 90% good year" sort. It has, so far, and there are just a few things to tweak and the residual ten should sort itself out. There is no catering for the unexploded mines which may be hidden in the road ahead but let's not do the pessimistic Lutheran thing here. It's not my style.
One job I must get on with is the detailed plan for kk. This must be done this week so that I am not caught with my trousers down when the others waken up and start their versions off. We'll see!
The football is on, European Cup games are on every evening and although my interest is limited because no home nations or even Norway are in it, half the Premier League is involved anyway, and the Norwegian ref for yesterday's game between the Poles and the Krauts did an excellent job. Not like the Dutch fellow in the Croat/Austria game who didn't dare send off a patently violent Austrian left back early on in the game. Justice was done when the Croats won it one-nil anyway. Two essentially fascist nations going at it hammer and tongs. I will miss the Itie/Holland match this evening, (M thanking God) because I will be at choir practice, receiving Stig's thanks for singing at his bash on Friday...it went very well...and admiring M2's new bustual profile from my position at left back, (no comparison with violent Austrian ball kickers) and she sings right wing. With the sun coming through the window at the right angle, this may well make the trip to choir practice worth while. I have perhaps written about this already. Sorry for the repeat but it does rather let on what is dominating my focus of interest at the moment!!
