It's been snowing all day and everything looks as if it should be December. What Dad would call a lambing storm. They have forecast cloudless skies tomorrow so things should look beautiful even though I would have preferred no snow at all.
The Queen is on the box. I've seen it before and even though the acting is excellent, specially HM and Blair, the others, particularly the Queen Mum who is too big, make it a bit silly. Still, it would have been interesting to know what they thought of the film themselves.
I saw that E had tried to ring this afternoon. I didn't hear it. Something about wanting to tell me Happy Easter. Nice thought.
Easter is now well into its close down phase. The shops are open tomorrow so I can get fresh milk for the tea and maybe the post will turn up something interesting but I'm not going to bust a gut.
The news talked about Norwegian aid money being misappropriated by the billion in Tanzania. Is this surprising? Why am I so cynical in not thinking this is an amazing piece of news. Corruption is rife in African countries and any money given away at the rate Norway blows away its aid to these countries is bound to disappear into some local dignitary's pocket. An interesting twist was the lack of control shown by the auditor, Price Waterhouse Cooper I think it was. Are they just lax, or have they being getting their backhander from the Tanzanians? Erik Solheim was suitably miffed, knowing full well that Siv Jensen and her acolytes will milk this for what it is worth, quite a lot by the look of it.
Nothing much else to report, something has happened about Obama and some big brother story which I haven't got hold of yet. Could be fun.
